Students preparing to enter grades 7 - 12 are required to read two selected books as a part of their summer activities. These books will be the basis of English class discussions during the first weeks of schools. Students will complete written tests during English class based on the summer readings and class discussions. These book lists are distributed at the completion of each year to provide ample time to complete the summer readings. The summer reading may also be required of students registered for any independent English courses (on-line, dual enrollment, or other independent study.) Tests for these independent study students will be arranged with the Principal and Academic Dean.
