The following files are available for seniors in the ICS Class of 2010 as applications for local scholarships. Each noted organization has supplied the form and has set their committee's deadlines. Senior are reminded that all documents for the application must be to Mrs. Allman by her stated deadlines so the files can be properly forwarded to the committees by their deadlines.
All seniors and their parents must file the FAFSA application before any school or scholarship committee can award aide.
In addition, seniors need to apply for Florida state aide by completing the application at OSFA web site. This incudes the application for the Bright Futures Scholarship.
ICS general scholarship application. This form should be completed and returned to Mrs. Allman for a number of general scholarships available in the community. Students may use this form on their own for scholarships which they are aware of. Students need to inform Mrs. Allman of all scholarships for which they apply.
IFACT Scholarship - Students pursuing a bachelor degree with a major in marine affairs, marine biology, environmental studies or other degrees that are directly related to marine conservation and marine wildlife are eligible to apply. Due to Mrs. Allman no later than April 7.
TIB Bank Scholarship Application - due to Mrs. Allman no later than April 14.
Florida Keys Community College - Board of Trustees Scholarship - ICS has been granted one BTS for the class of 2010. This covers one year's full tuition. Student pays only for the application fee, laboratory and special fees, and the cost of books and supplies. The scholarship is renewable if criteria are maintained. Completed application due to Mrs. Allman April 27.
Business and Professional Women Scholarship - Complete the form as soon as possible. Deadline to be announced.
The Florida Keys Board of Realtors® -Scholarship Foundation -2009 Scholarship Application The Florida Keys Board of Realtors® (FKBR) will be awarding scholarships to graduating seniors at high schools in the FKBR service area. The scholarship money must be used for college education and QUALIFIED expenses at any accredited college, university, community college, technical or trade school. Application deadline is April 30 (to Mrs. Allman). Scholarship winners will be announced during the capping ceremony prior to graduation held at each high school. Children of Realtors® are eligible to apply for this scholarship program.
Upper Keys Rotary Scholarship - Qualifications for this scholarship are: 3.0 weighted GPA, 19ACT or 850 SAT, 80 hours of community service, a 2-part application including financial information from the student and family, list of references, and a letter of recommendation. More information can be found on the Rotary's web site http://www.keysrotary.org/. Be sure to down load the 2nd part of the application which is the financial information. Completed packet is due to Mrs. Allman no later than April 9.
