Island Christian School students purchase their entire school uniform from Sunshine Uniform Company. Enrolled families will be given the information to facilitate on-line purchases at www.sunshineuniforms.com . Uniforms may also be purchased through their customer service line at (800) 354-7724. The store is located at 9660 Sunset Drive, Miami (local number is 305-595-5200). Parents are reminded that purchases need to be completed early each summer to avoid the long lines at the store or confusion in purchasing correct sizes and quantities.
Our school uniform has been uniquely designed by Sunshine for ICS. Students are given no variation from the company clothing. Students may NOT layer their uniform. That is, any t-shirt worn under the uniform may not be seen. Only the approved jackets and sweaters may be worn in the school building. During inclement weather, students may of course wear additional outer wear to school. However, these items may not be worn in the buildings.

All students are to have their shirts tucked in at all times and must wear a belt with clothing having belt loops. Pants are to be worn at the natural waist with no housing, no extra long lengths.

Shoes are to be worn at all times. For safety reasons, flip-flops, slippers, or roller-shoes may not be worn. Sandals must have a heel strap. Clog style shoes or slip-ons with significant foot covering are permitted. Young ladies are asked to wear shoes whose heels and platforms are less than two (2) inches for safety during the school day.

Head coverings, including but not limited to, hoods, caps, and hats are not to be worn in the school building.

As young ladies select their shorts, skirts, skorts, and jumpers, they are reminded that the acceptable length is no shorter than 5” above the back bend of the young lady’s knee.
